Brugada syndrome is a condition that causes a disruption of the heart's normal rhythm. Specifically, this disorder can lead to irregular heartbeats in the heart's lower chambers (ventricles), which is an abnormality called ventricular arrhythmia. If untreated, the irregular heartbeats can cause fainting (syncope), seizures, difficulty breathing, or sudden death. These complications typically occur when an affected person is resting or asleep.
Descrizione
Brugada syndrome is a condition that causes a disruption of the heart's normal rhythm. Specifically, this disorder can lead to irregular heartbeats in the heart's lower chambers (ventricles), which is an abnormality called ventricular arrhythmia. If untreated, the irregular heartbeats can cause fainting (syncope), seizures, difficulty breathing, or sudden death. These complications typically occur when an affected person is resting or asleep.
Brugada syndrome usually becomes apparent in adulthood, although it can develop any time throughout life. Signs and symptoms related to arrhythmias, including sudden death, can occur from early infancy to late adulthood. Sudden death typically occurs around age 40. This condition may explain some cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), which is a major cause of death in babies younger than 1 year. SIDS is characterised by sudden and unexplained death, usually during sleep.
Sudden unexplained nocturnal death syndrome (SUNDS) is a condition characterised by unexpected cardiac arrest in young adults, usually at night during sleep. This condition was originally described in Southeast Asian populations, where it is a major cause of death. Researchers have determined that SUNDS and Brugada syndrome are the same disorder.

Sindrome coronarica acuta
The term 'acute coronary syndrome' (ACS) covers a range of disorders, including a heart attack (myocardial infarction) and unstable angina, that are caused by a sudden reduction of blood flow to part of the heart muscle. This is usually caused by a blood clot. What is acute coronary syndrome. The term 'acute coronary syndrome' (ACS) covers a range.

Angina microvascolare
There is no agreed definition for CSX. The underlying cause may be sudden narrowing (spasm) of normal coronary arteries without any evidence of atheromatous fatty plaques. What is cardiac syndrome X. Cardiac syndrome X (CSX) is thought to be a type of angina. In CSX chest pain is felt when the heart works harder but the heart arteries appear to be.

Sindrome da cattura precordiale
Sebbene precordial catch syndrome is a harmless cause of chest pain, there are many other causes of chest pain, some of which are serious and need urgent medical attention. What is precordial catch syndrome. Precordial catch syndrome (PCS) è condition which causes a sharp stabbing pain in the chest. These typically get worse with breathing in,.

Costola cervicale
Informazioni 1 in 100 le persone sono born with an extra rib called a cervical rib. About 1 in 10 people who have a cervical rib develop thoracic outlet syndrome. This happens if the cervical rib squashes the nerves and blood vessels going into the arm. Treatment can include painkillers, physiotherapy and sometimes surgery to relieve the compression caused.

Sindrome anticonvulsivante fetale
Fetal anticonvulsant syndrome (FACS) - also known as fetal valproate syndrome and fetal hydantoin syndrome - is a group of malformations that can affect some babies if they are exposed to certain medicines known as antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) while in the womb. Most women with epilepsy will have a healthy child. Women with epilepsy who are pregnant.

Patient information leaflet
Sindrome da vibrazione mano-braccio
Hand-arm vibration syndrome (sometimes abbreviated to HAVS) causes changes in the sensation of the fingers which can lead to permanent numbness of fingers, muscle weakness and, in some cases, bouts of white finger. It is caused by working with vibrating tools. It would be unusual to develop hand-arm vibration syndrome without using vibrating tools.
