Can I take Amitriptyline low dose and Cbd oil together?

Why this happens

Both substances are processed by the same enzymes in the liver (specifically CYP2C19 and CYP3A4). CBD can 'block' these enzymes, slowing down how quickly your body breaks down the amitriptyline. Additionally, both substances have a calming effect on the brain, which can lead to excessive drowsiness when used together.

You should speak to your doctor before combining these two. If you do use them together, start with a very low dose of CBD and monitor yourself closely for increased side effects. Seek medical help immediately if you feel faint, dizzy, or notice a fast or irregular heartbeat.
