Can I take Alendronic acid and Rosuvastatin together?

These drugs work in completely different ways: alendronic acid strengthens bones by slowing down bone loss, while rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol by blocking an enzyme in the liver. They do not interfere with how the body absorbs, breaks down, or removes each other.

You can safely take both medications as prescribed. To ensure alendronic acid works correctly and doesn't irritate your food pipe, take it first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water, at least 30 minutes before any food, drink, or other medicines (including your rosuvastatin). If you develop unusual muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, contact your doctor.
