Why this happens

Propranolol is a beta-blocker that lowers heart rate and blood pressure. 5-HTP increases serotonin levels, which can sometimes affect blood pressure regulation. Additionally, both substances can have a calming or sedative effect on the central nervous system, which can be additive when taken together.

You should speak to your doctor before combining these two. If you do take them together, monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Seek medical advice if you feel unusually dizzy, tired, or if you feel like you might faint.
