Can I take 1.5mg and Bisoprolol together?

Drug interaction guide

Taking cannabis with bisoprolol can cause your heart rate to drop too low or your blood pressure to fall unexpectedly. This can make you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint. Additionally, cannabis can increase the sedative effects of bisoprolol, making you feel very sleepy or uncoordinated.

Why this happens

Both substances can slow down the heart and lower blood pressure (additive effects). Cannabis can also interfere with how the liver processes certain medications, potentially changing the levels of bisoprolol in your bloodstream.

You should use extreme caution and speak with your doctor before combining these. Do not drive or operate machinery. In the UK, it is illegal to drive with any cannabis in your system, regardless of whether you feel impaired. If you feel dizzy or faint, sit or lie down immediately and seek medical advice.
